Fishes

Yesterday was a beautiful day and I decided to start it with a visit to the goldfish in Tom's parents huge pond/ former pool. I remembered them being pretty big but I'd definitely forgotten the finer point of this.

The Pond

Me attempting to fish. I did manage to get one close enough for me to pat with one finger.

When we sprinkled the food in the pond you could see them ripple the surface of the water as they swam over. Kind of like little sharks. My favourite two. The orange and black one was close to a foot and a half long. The white and orange one made me laugh because it looks like a cartoon.

I really wanted to reach in and grab one, but they're fast and strong. When they went roaming around looking for more to eat they'd  shove the floating crocodile head decorations out of their way. Like pushy little sea monsters.
